TekTone®’s PM368K (PM-368K) Short Hand Modem Kit increases the distance of Tek-CARE® 500 signaling data by converting RS232 signaling to RS422 signaling. This extends the distance (using CAT5 cable) to 2,000’ between the Tek CARE®NC300II Central Equipment and its serial printer. Tek-PAGING® system or Tek-MMARS®II system; or between the Tek-CARE® 500 Master Station Computer and its Tek-PAGING® system. |

Architects' & Engineers' Specifications: The Short Haul Modem shall be TekTone® PM368(PM-368) or approved equal as supplied by LEE DAN® The PM368K kit shall include two PM368 short hand modems, two SS368 power transformers and five connector cable assemblies. The Short Haul Modem shall convert RS232 signals to RS422 signaling. The PM368K kit shall permit signaling data from the Tek-CARE®NC300II Nurse Call or Tek-CARE®500 Wireless Emergency Call system to be transmitted up to 2,000’ over CAT5 cable. The PM368K kit shall provide support for the CTS/RTS signals needed for supervision functionality. The PM368K shall be used with a Tek-PAGING® system, a serial printer, or with a Tek-MMARS®II system.
